Police seek to identify persons of interest in commercial break and enter

Sometime overnight on Saturday January 21, 2023, a business know as Gold and Silver Guy, located at 65 Townsite Road, was broken into. Investigators have recently received CCTV footage from the business and are attempting to identify two persons of interest. The business is known for buying and selling various precious commodities and currency.

Video description: 12 seconds in length showing two Caucasian men directly in front of the front door to the business. One person is seen to be pacing back and forth while the other is carrying a dark case and an item resembling a portable drill.
The business owner told police he arrived in the morning to find a rear door busted open and interior drywall knocked out allowing for access to the interior. Once inside, thieves made their way to a safe and a number of expensive items were taken.
Investigators are certain the individuals shown in the attached photos have knowledge that can assist in this investigation. These two need to be identified and spoken with
said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
