Police in Pemberton seek assistance from drivers who may have dashcam footage of a man involved with multiple driving offences under the Motor Vehicle Act and Criminal Code.
On May 24, 2023, at about 6:00 p.m., Sea to Sky RCMP Whistler received multiple reports of an erratic driver who was travelling northbound on Highway 99 from Whistler. The driver was associated to a grey Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab truck, with BC license plate number PG 885A.
At about 6:30 p.m., a Sea to Sky RCMP Pemberton member found the truck, it collided into the ditch on Highway 99 at Vine Rd. The driver needed medical attention for unknown injuries but was released from hospital shortly after admission.
Once medically cleared, members arrested the man for a number of offences and released him with a future court date. Police now appeal to Sea to Sky Highway drivers for dashcam footage to help assist the investigation.
Fortunately, no one other than the driver was injured. The police investigation continues, and includes us asking for help from community by way of dashcam footage,
says Corporal Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky RCMP. If anyone was on Highway 99 between Whistler and Pemberton during the above time and date and had a dash camera in operation, please contact us.
