The Prince Rupert RCMP wants to inform the public of an update on a missing persons file including Michael Kitchener.
In May of 2023 remains were discovered on Mount Hays in Prince Rupert which have no been positively identified and confirmed to those of Michael Kitchener. Foul play is not considered to be a factor in his death at this time.
"The Prince Rupert RCMP extends its condolences to Michael's family after this discovery," Media Relations Officer Cst. Brody Hemrich said, "we hope this can assist in providing closure for his family and the entire community that has been impacted by his sudden loss."
