RCMP dispatchers are a pivotal part of the policing response for the community of Campbell River, and the North Island Operational Communication Centre (OCC) based out of Courtenay/Comox is presently on the search for people who may be interested in becoming a dispatcher or just want to know more about the world of RCMP 911 dispatching.

On Monday, February 27th, 2023, between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, The Island Grind Coffee Shop at the Discovery Harbour Shopping Centre will be hosting "Coffee with a Dispatcher".

Jaclyn Tremblett, a recruiter with the Island's 911 Police Dispatch team will be on hand to answer questions for anyone interested in the vital role RCMP dispatchers play every day.

Come and join me for a coffee, says Jaclyn. I can't wait to share why I love coming to work as a 911 Police Dispatcher and let people know how rewarding it is to play a big role in keeping our community safe.

To request a time to meet Jaclyn, email her directly at: e_911recruiting_isld@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Please include your preferred date and time, your name, phone number and email address. If a career helping people and meaningful work interests you, don’t miss this event!

There is no purchase of a coffee necessary to speak to a 9-1-1 RCMP Police Dispatcher.

We hope to see you at the Island Grind Coffee Shop at Campbell River's Discovery Harbour on February 27th, 2023, between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.
