Two suspects arrested after failure to stop

On November 30, 2022, the Fort St John RCMP Crime Reduction Unit was conducting a stolen property investigation in the 10000 block of 114th Avenue, when they observed a vehicle leave the residence under surveillance. A traffic stop was attempted with the vehicle, but it failed to stop for police.

Moments later, the same suspect vehicle was located by a patrolling frontline police officer who conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle. At the time, the driver and passenger were arrested for Flight from Police.

During the investigation a loaded handgun was located on the passenger and seized by police.

As a result of the investigation by the Fort St John RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, the driver, Ryan Tutt was charged with:

Ryan Tutt was held for court and released on a Release Order with a future court date of December 19, 2022.

Crown approved the following charges against the passenger, Curtis Bagan:

Curtis Bagan was remanded into custody until December 12 to re-appear before the courts.
