Police seize illegal cannabis and tobacco products

On the morning of Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 8:00 am, the 100 Mile House RCMP and Williams Lake RCMP, Indigenous Policing Services (IPS) with assistance from the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Community Safety Unit and the Ministry of Finance, Investigations Unit, took enforcement action on an illegal cannabis dispensary in Lac La Hache, BC.

The lead agency in this matter was the BC Community Safety Unit. The enforcement action resulted in the seizure of approximately $60,000.00 in illegal cannabis products and $160,000.00 in illegal tobacco products.

The 100 Mile House RCMP continues enforcement efforts directed at illegal cannabis activities in our area, said Sgt Brad McKinnon, Acting Detachment Commander. 

The 100 Mile House RCMP Detachment would like to thank the BC Community Safety Unit and the Ministry of Finance, Investigations Unit for their assistance with this matter and contributions toward improved public safety.
