Youth stabbed in Sooke

On April 14, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Sooke RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing that had occurred on a wooded trail near the end of Throup Road in Sooke.

On arrival, police located a youth suffering from significant injuries. A second youth was taken into custody without incident.

Witnesses on scene provided first aid to the victim until the arrival of BC Ambulance Service who transported the victim to hospital.

The suspect will be held in custody to appear in court.

We are grateful to those who immediately took action and rendered care to the victim said Sergeant Kevin Shaw, Acting Detachment Commander of the Sooke RCMP. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public.
