Maple Ridge B.C.- 13-year-old youth contacts Ridge Meadows RCMP after locating a significant sum of money over the past weekend.
On Friday, February 3, 2023, while out shopping with family at the Canadian Tire located at 11969 200th Street in Maple Ridge, the youth located a significant sum of money and contacted Police.
The youth indicated to the police officer that it was important to them to locate the rightful owner as the loss of the money could have an impact to the person.
"Police are looking to reunite the rightful owner with their cash," states Cpl. Julie Klaussner. "The integrity shown by this youth by turning in this money is inspiring".
If you lost this money please contact the Ridge Meadows RCMP, Constable Foote at 604-463-6251. You will be expected to provide specific details about the amount of cash and denominations.
