Pitt Meadows B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a Hit and Run motor vehicle collision where a man walking his bicycle was struck.

On December 9, 2022 at approximately 6:15 pm, police were advised of a person in the area of the 18000 block of Ford Road. Police arrived on scene to find a 53-year-old man was seriously injured and unconscious near the roadway. Pitt Meadows Fire Department attempted life saving measures on the victim before he was transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services. The man succumbed to his injuries and died.

Police closed the roads for an extended period of time to allow police to investigate the collision.
The Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Services was brought in to assist with the investigation.

Ridge Meadows RCMP Serious Crimes Unit has conduct of the file and are seeking video surveillance, dash camera and witnesses.
