Man with Canada-wide warrant arrested in Maple Ridge

Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP have arrested one person wanted on three warrants, including a Canada-wide warrant, in Maple Ridge.

Since January 26, 2024, members of the Ridge Meadows RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) had been on the lookout for a 53-year-old Maple Ridge man who allegedly failed to comply with court ordered conditions. As a result, a Canada-wide warrant was issued for the man’s arrest.

Police believed the man was actively avoiding apprehension in the Maple Ridge area and CRU used several investigative techniques to determine his location. Members of CRU observed him at a residence in the 21700 block of Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge on February 15, 2024.

On February 15, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team (LMD ERT) attended the residence and the male attempted to flee on foot, LMD ERT and CRU took the wanted man safely into custody.

The 53-year-old Maple Ridge man is facing the following 13 charges:

The man is remanded in custody and no further information is available at this time.
