Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP Specialized Response Team (SRT) out on proactive patrol seized multiple firearms and drugs.
On July 13, 2023, SRT’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) was conducting proactive patrols when officers observed a known offender driving a vehicle. From previous interactions, the officers knew the offender was prohibited from driving and conducted a vehicle stop. While arresting the driver, officers observed a firearm in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of five firearms, ammunition and a large quantity of what is believed to be both methamphetamine and fentanyl.
