Police respond to report of shots fired overnight

Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is investigating a report of shots fired in Maple Ridge.

On July 3, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 14200 block of Silver Valley Road. Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers were first on scene. No injuries were reported and four people were arrested. Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) also attended.

Police remained on scene to contain the property until a search warrant was executed later in the day. Several firearms were seized.

There is no threat to public safety at this time, states Sergeant Crystal Heisler. The property and occupants are known to police and this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
