Pitt Meadows, B.C – Ridge Meadows RCMP are appealing to the public for dash cam footage or further witness accounts in relation to a collision which occurred on Aug 19 in Pitt Meadows shortly before 5:30pm.

A red, 2004, Ford Mustang and a red 2010, Jeep Compass were involved in a head-on collision in the 19700 block area of Old Dewdney Trunk road. The Mustang was travelling West bound and the Jeep Compass was travelling East Bound.

Police have spoken with witnesses but are looking to speak with anyone else who may have witnessed the Red Mustang or the Red Jeep Compass or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the vehicles travelling before the moments leading up to the crash.

Pitt Meadows, B.C – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a collision between two vehicles which occurred yesterday evening.

On Wednesday, Aug 19, at around 5:30 PM, police received a call from BC Emergency Health Services that they were on route to a collision scene which occurred on Old Dewdney Trunk road between Harris road and 203rd. A Ford Mustang and a Jeep had collided with each other and frontline police officers responded to the scene.

The investigation and witness reports suggested one of the vehicles had allegedly crossed the centerline creating the collision. Three occupants in the Jeep were taken to hospital but did not sustain serious injuries. The driver of the Mustang was trapped inside his vehicle and, with assistance from Pitt Meadows Fire department, was extracted from the car and sent to hospital in critical condition. He later improved to stable condition.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Road Safety Target Team has taken conduct of the file and the investigation is continuing. All factors will be considered as part of the investigation including speed of vehicles, weather and road conditions and any possible impairment.
