Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a missing Kamloops man.

On Sept. 7, 2024, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment received a missing person’s report for 41-year-old Michael Scott, who had not been seen or heard from since Sept. 2, 2024.

So far, we have received tips regarding Michael’s possible whereabouts, but have yet to locate him and confirm he is okay, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson. If you are Michael or know where he is, please contact us as soon as possible, as his family and police are concerned for his wellbeing.

Michael is described as:

• Caucasian male
• 5’9
• 160 lbs
• Brown hair and facial hair
• Brown eyes
• Tattoo on his right forearm

He was last seen wearing:

• A white blanket around his shoulders
• Black t-shirt and sweat pants
• White shoes

On Sept. 5, 2024, the truck Michael had been driving, a blue Dodge Ram pickup, licence plate WC1615, was located near the Red Bridge in the possession of two other people. It was impounded as part of a driving while impaired by drug investigation. No additional information related to his whereabouts was obtained following the vehicle’s seizure.
