Highway collision: several people taken to hospital

Emergency responders attended a single-vehicle collision on the Yellowhead Highway this morning, during which six people received what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday July 23, 2024, around 9:48 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the Yellowhead Highway at Old Highway 5, where a vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a light fixture. Kamloops Fire and Rescue assisted with the extrication of at least two people from the vehicle, which had rolled over.

Anyone who witnessed or captured video of the collision and has not get connected with police is asked to please call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-23559.
