File # 24-22445
The Burnaby RCMP is issuing another appeal for information from the public and releasing new video of missing 29-year-old woman Emily Maya, who was reported missing after leaving a family residence in South Burnaby on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
See original release: 2023-07-05
Emily’s disappearance is out of character and police and her family are concerned for her wellbeing as she continues to miss essential medication.
There have been sightings of Emily in Vancouver and Burnaby since her disappearance, but investigators have not been able to confirm her wellbeing.
Emily is unfamiliar with the Lower Mainland and has appeared disoriented when spotted.
Our concern for Emily is continuing to grow the longer she is missing and without access to her daily medication. We are asking the public to take a look at her photos and a short surveillance video of Emily taken from a drugstore in the River District of South Vancouver on July 4, 2024, two days after she was last seen by family,
said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP. If you have any information about where Emily is, our investigators want to hear from you so we can locate her and ensure she is safe.
Emily is 5’3 tall with a slim build, brown hair, hazel eyes, and a tattoo of black roses on her right arm, extending from her shoulder to her elbow.
Anyone who sees Emily Maya is asked to call 911 right away. Anyone who has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file 24-22445.
