Surrey RCMP continues to investigate single motor vehicle collision where one person has died.

On July 11, 2024 at approximately 1:30 am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report a single vehicle collision on Highway 99, North of King George Blvd, Surrey.

Police arrived at scene to find a woman in her early 20’s who had been ejected from the vehicle and was deceased. Two other occupants were located trapped in the vehicle and later taken to hospital for further assessment. Driver of the vehicle is a 23-year-old man and passenger is a 22-year-old man.

Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team has taken conduct of the investigation and being assisted by Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service. Preliminary investigation indicates speed may have been a factor.

North bound lanes on Highway 99, North of King George Blvd will remain closed as the investigation is still in the evidence gather stage.

Surrey RCMP is advising the public that Highway 99 Northbound from King George Highway is currently shut down due to a serious collision.

On July 11, 2024, at 01:30 am, Surrey RCMP responded to the report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 99 North of King George Highway.
Sadly, one of the occupants has been declared deceased at scene.

The integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been called to assist the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision investigation Team with the investigation.

Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined amount of time as officers continue their investigation. A road closure is in effect with northbound Hwy 99 traffic being diverted at King George Highway. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.

The investigation is in its early stages. Investigators are collecting statements and canvassing for video. Anyone with information, including dash cam Footage in the area Hwy 99 at King George Highway during the time leading up to the collision is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 24-100747.
