Two additional suspects charged in connection to robbery of a jewellery store

An investigation led by Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit has resulted in charges against four people in relation to an alleged robbery at a jewellery store in Guildford earlier this year.

On February 18, 2024 at 6:23 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a jewellery store in the 15200-block of 101 Avenue, where one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries. In connection with the robbery, Michael Onischuk and Larissa Cowan were arrested in Calgary, Alberta, on February 27, 2024. They were charged and remanded until their next court appearance. Through further investigation two additional suspects were identified and arrested on April 28, in Edmonton, Alberta with the assistance of Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Emergency Response Team and Major Crime Unit.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jenna Interman, was charged with robbery using a restricted or prohibited firearm and aggravated assault. The other suspect was released pending further investigation.

On June 6, Calgary Police Service arrested 44-year-old, Rebecca Powless in relation to Surrey RCMP’s ongoing investigation. Charges were laid against her, including robbery using a restricted or prohibited firearm, aggravated assault, and discharge a firearm with intent to wound/disfigure.
