Surrey RCMP investigates early morning shooting that left one male injured

Surrey RCMP is investigating a shooting in the Newton area and one male has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

On July 5, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a male suffering from a gun-shot wound in a parking lot near the 7300 block of 122 Street.

The Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit has conduct of the investigation, and investigators are working to determine all of the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Evidence gathering is still underway, but initial indications are this was a targeted, isolated incident.
