File # 2024-1273 2024-1286 2024-1314

On Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1:17 am police were called to the scene of a vehicle fire on 44th Ave. A heavy wrecker tow truck and car were set on fire in the secure tow lot of On It Towing.

Evidence obtained showed an individual climbing onto the wrecker’s cab just before it caught fire. The compound fence had been cut to gain entry.

Later the same day, police responded to 49th Avenue where a Kenworth Tractor was on fire. It had been extinguished by the fire department.

Then a few days later on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 2:15 am, police were once again called to an area on 49th Avenue for a report of a backhoe on fire.

Police believe there to be a connection to all three fires. Anyone with information is asked to call the Northern Rockies RCMP (250) 774-2700.
