RCMP investigating suspicious death

The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit has taken conduct of an investigation after the discovery of a deceased person.

On the afternoon of June 15, 2024, Princeton RCMP responded to a suspicious death on a property just outside the community.

As it’s believed the man’s death is the result of foul play, the Southeast District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation, said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, NCO i/c of the Southeast District MCU. Investigators believe this incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public.

As the investigation is in its early stages, investigators are not releasing further details, including further details about the deceased.
