File # 2023-11213

Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows have arrested one man who was previously wanted for multiple outstanding warrants.

On June 8, 2023, at approximately 1:45 p.m. Ridge Meadows Specialized Response Team (SRT), determined the location of a known offender, and with the support of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT), Adam Carr was arrested without incident. At the time of arrest, Carr was in possession of a loaded firearm that has since been seized by police. Carr, 41 years old, of Maple Ridge, is facing nine total charges including two counts of Possession of a Firearm without License or Registration. New charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Carr is a repeat offender who is known to Ridge Meadows RCMP. SRT’s knowledge of the community and offenders was integral in locating the suspect. Police were actively focusing attention on prolific offender Adam Carr, states Sergeant Crystal Heisler. This is another example of how SRT proactively targets criminals to keep violent offenders off our streets.

Carr is remanded in custody until June 16, 2023.
