Richmond RCMP execute search warrant which results in seven firearm related charges.

On May 2, 2023 Richmond RCMP Gang Enforcement Team (RGET) with the assistance of Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at a residence in Richmond. Multiple items were seized from the residence including a loaded firearm and a quantity of various illicit drugs.

This investigation was also supported by officers from Richmond RCMP Frontline and officers from the Uniformed Gang Enforcement Team of Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-UGET).

I want to thank all of the officers from Richmond RCMP and CFSEU-UGET involved in this investigation. While our work on it is not yet over, knowing these items have been taken off of the streets of Richmond is a win for public safety, says Chief Superintendent Dave Chauhan, officer-in-charge of Richmond RCMP.

The BC Prosecution Service has laid seven charges for firearm related offences against Jasper Catua Arcangel. The charges include Possession of a loaded Firearm and Careless Storage of a Firearm.

Arcangel has been released from custody with a number of conditions, including not to possess any firearms.

Charges relating to the seized drugs are pending.
