The Nanaimo RCMP is continuing with their investigation into the robbery of the Scotia bank located at 6750 North Island Highway, located in the Norad Plaza, near Costco in north Nanaimo. The robbery took place at approximately 3:15 pm on Wednesday November 29, 2017. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was produced and no employees were injured during the incident.

Pictures of the suspect from the Scotia bank robbery and of the suspect involved in an attempted robbery of a local Tim Horton’s robbery from earlier in the day are attached. Investigators believe it is the same person involved in both incidents. The Tim Horton’s attempted robbery occurred just after midnight on Wednesday November 29, 2017
