File # Unsolved crimes July 7th to July 19th

Nanaimo file # 2017-21502 Sometime overnight on Friday July 7th, a family visiting from Calgary had all three of their mountain bikes stolen. The bikes were locked to the back of their vehicle which was parked at the Port of Call motel, located at 505 Terminal Ave. One of the bikes has since been recovered. The two remaining bikes were an aqua green and white Cannondale Trail women's 7, serial # GM72969, and a charcoal Kona Splice Deluxe men's serial # AJ50703733

Nanaimo file # 2017-21636 On Saturday July 8th, power tools and painting supplies were stolen from Forest Park Elementary School located on Latimer Road. The equipment was stored under a plastic tarp. Taken was a Powerease pressure washer, 2 brown 100 foot garden hoses, a Dewalt vibrating sander and an Orbital sander marked with "SLOAN".

Nanaimo file # 2017-21637 On Saturday July 8th, power tools were stolen from a shed in the 400 block of Kennedy St. Taken were 2 red Milwaukee cordless 18V drills and a red case for one of the Milwaukee drills.

Nanaimo file # 2017-21823 On Sunday July 9th, at approximately 5:30 pm an unknown male stole a mountain bike from a the back of a truck parked outside the Long Wood Brew Pub on Turner Road. The suspect was seen in the rear of the truck then chased by two males. The suspect is white, in his 20's, wearing a black shirt, dark shorts and a red baseball cap. The stolen bike is a MARIN and the logo is written in large letters on the top of the tube. There is also a sticker from Coal City Cycle.

Nanaimo file # 2017-22169 On Wednesday July 12th, at approximately 3 am two bicycles were stolen from 6 Maki Road. The locks were cut on both bikes. One is a white specialized MYKA Rocky Mountain Soul 18 speed with serial # SPRAJ1206-469. The other is white specialized MYKA 21 speed serial # WSBC6024034728.

Nanaimo file # 2017-22185 Sometime in the past and reported on Wednesday July 12th a break and enter occurred at a residence in the 1300 block of Leask Road. Unknown persons entered an unlocked garage and took a paddle board, two surfboards, lawn mower and pressure washer.

Nanaimo file # 2017-22231 On Thursday July 6th, but reported on Wednesday July 14th a break and enter occurred at 6310 McRobb Ave. One of the storage lockers at that location had been broken into and taken were golf clubs and a tool box.

Nanaimo file # 2017- 22494 On Friday July 14th, a mountain bike was stolen from 2200 Bowen Road. The bike is a black Columbia Rocky Mountain, with disc brakes, Rhino suspension and the light on the handle bar is burned out.

Nanaimo file # 2017-22658 On Sunday July 16th, a ring was stolen from a home in the 400 block of Gulfview Drive. The owner told police she had been doing dishes and took the ring off and placed it beside the sink. The owner then went out and during her absence the landlords held an open house. Six couples came through and when she returned home, the ring was gone. The ring is a high quality sapphire mounted on a yellow gold ring and surrounded by a halo of small diamonds.

Nanaimo file # 2017-22754 Taken on Wednesday July 12th but reported on Monday July 17th was a mountain bike stolen from Glen Eagle Crescent. The bike is a 2016 black with blue framed Rocky Mountain Soul 720 with serial # PRAJ1509956
