Nanaimo file # 2017-19149 Sometime overnight on Monday June 19th, a break and enter occurred at BC Hydro located at 400 Madsen Road. Unknown persons entered through a gap in the perimeter fence then stole two sets of climbing equipment, as a well as a piece of electrical equipment called a Genset. Estimated loss is in the range of $5500.
Nanaimo file # 2017-19509 On Thursday June 22nd, between 9:30 am and 11 am a break and enter occurred in the 6000 Leah Lane. Unknown persons entered through an unlocked front door and made off with a purse from the kitchen area.
Nanaimo file # 2017-19554 On Thursday June 22nd, a black motorbike jacket was stolen from a shopping cart at Walmart. The jacket is valued at $500 and there were no witnesses to the theft.
Nanaimo file # 2017-19269 On Tuesday June 20th, between 5:20 pm and 6:30 pm Costin Hall located at 7232 Lantzville Road was broken into. Entry was gained through a basement door from which thieves then made their way to the kitchen where they randomly sprayed mustard on walls and etched some drawings.
Nanaimo file # 2017-19646 On Wednesday June 21st, a women's necklace was found in a patch of grass near 470 Winchester Ave.
Nanaimo file # 2017-19996 On Sunday June 25th, Supreme Self Storage located at 40 Maki Road was broken into. A trailer and two boats stored in the compound were entered and rummaged through.
Nanaimo file # 2017-20085 Sometime overnight on Monday June 26th, a BC Hydro substation located at Nanaimo Lakes Road at South Forks Road was broken into; tools and equipment were stolen. The theft, resulting damage and loss of work due to the theft is in the range of $25,000.
