The Revelstoke RCMP Detachment provides policing services to over 7,500 local residents and the estimated 500 in the surrounding area. The Revelstoke Detachment is a designated bilingual Detachment due to its proximity to several National Parks. The detachment works in close partnership with the Sicamous RCMP and the Golden RCMP detachments, as our jurisdictions border each other. 

The Revelstoke Detachment consists of 11 General Duty officers (Constables), 1 General Investigation Section officer (Constable) and 3 Non-Commissioned Officers (2 Corporals and 1 Staff Sergeant). The Trans Canada East Traffic Services has 5 traffic officers. (4 Constables and 1 Corporal). The Integrated Road Safety Unit (IRSU) has three officers (2 Constables and 1 Corporal). The Integrated Forensic Identification Section of consists of 2 officers (2 Corporals). The Revelstoke Detachment provides a wide range of policing.

The Revelstoke RCMP Detachment has a fleet of seven police vehicles to address the various demands required for policing in this area. In addition, Integrated Forensic Identification Services, Traffic Services and the Integrated Road Safety Unit have duty specific vehicles to respond to calls for service. The Detachment operates a boat, UTV, several snowmobiles and mountain bikes for alternate methods of community policing.
