Crime Free Multi Housing

This Crime Free Multi-Housing Program has met with great success in the USA, and has now been adoptecrime free multi housing logod in a number of Canadian cities. The program was initiated in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area in June 1997. The program is a simple and effective program to assist complex managers in removing and keeping illegal activity out of rental property, through improved security and education in tenant screening, calls for service to police are reduced and legitimate tenants are safer. The program essentially displaces unwanted tenants involved in criminal activity. If they are unable to find a place in our community as a result of this program, they will likely move to a new area where they can operate without the impact of such a program. Or, they will conform to the standards set, thereby, reducing criminal activity and calls for services in problem areas.
