Family Identification Program

The Family Identification Program gives parents a record of their child’s photo, fingerprints, weight and height in one convenient identification card.

The information contained in the Family Identification kits can be vital if your child goes missing. A do-it-yourself DNA kit is also provided.

None of the information is kept by anyone connected with the program including volunteers or police. It is solely for parents to keep as a record in the event of an emergency.

You should update the Family Identification card as your child grows and their appearance changes.

Family Identification kits are available through our five District Offices. The Surrey RCMP also participates in Family Identification days throughout the year, which can be found on our Events page.
