One person charged in connection with the death of two people

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Tsay Keh Dene RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in a residence with injuries to multiple people.
Two people are confirmed to have been located deceased in the original residence of the complaint. BC RCMP North District Major Crime is conducting a concurrent investigation into the deaths of the two deceased. The IIO BC is investigating police actions in the incident. Original release 2024-04-10
On Friday, April 12, 2024 charges were laid in connection with this investigation. Orlan Marcel Dennis has been charged with two counts of 2nd degree murder, and is currently in custody.
