Although the firearms were legally owned and registered properly by the owner, the concern was the nature they were used, Media Relations Officer Constable Brody Hemrich said, handling, storage and safety of firearms is the responsibility of all firearm owners.

The RCMP will be submitting a report to the BC Prosecution Service who will review it and consider laying criminal charges in these cases.

If you have any information regarding the Facebook post in question please contact the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-624-2136.
