Mountie being chased by children on school playground

On January 5th, 2017, a West Shore RCMP officer decided to take a break between two calls for service to play with Happy Valley Elementary school students during their morning recess.

His visit turned out to be very popular among the children who appreciated playing tag with him during the fresh winter morning.

It is not uncommon for police officers to reach out and engage with youth on a daily basis, states Cst. Alex Berube, spokesperson for West Shore RCMP. The RCMP strives to be involved with youth from an early age and giving them positive learning experiences with police officers.
