Shots fired with one male injured

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the Newton area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 8:00 pm on December 5th, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the intersection of 148 Street and 64 Avenue.

The initial investigation has revealed that a male has been shot and a dark coloured sedan was seen fleeing the area westbound. There are no other suspect descriptions available at this time.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages but initial indications are that this is likely a targeted incident.
