Bear spray incident on transit bus

On March 18th at approximately 7:40pm, the Surrey RCMP responded to an altercation that occurred between several individuals known to each other. During this altercation, one of the involved persons managed to get onto a transit bus near 140th Street and 92nd Avenue. This individual was followed onto the bus. A can of bear spray was released inside the transit bus. Several passengers and the bus driver came into contact with bear spray fumes. Police are continuing to investigate, and the public is not at risk. The involved individuals are known to police.
