Stabbing incident - 138 Street and 71 Avenue

Surrey RCMP is on scene at a residence for a report of a stabbing. One suspect is currently in custody.
On December 11, 2016 at approximately 7:25 PM, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the 13800 block of 71 Avenue.
Upon arrival officers located a 17 year old male suffering from a stab wound who was being transported to local area hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Initial investigation has revealed that an altercation occurred between two individuals resulting in the stabbing. Officers conducted neighbourhood canvassing and spoke with several witnesses to obtain further information.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident involves parties known to each other. A suspect has been arrested.
