File # 2016-166648
Surrey RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a potential witness in a fatal motor vehicle collision that killed both drivers earlier this month (see previous release).
On November 20th at approximately 7:30am, a red F150 pickup truck driven by a 52 year old Surrey man was driving southbound on King George Boulevard in the 8100 block when it crossed into oncoming northbound traffic. The pickup truck collided head-on with a red Kia Soul driven by a 64 year old Surrey woman. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) continues to investigate this incident to determine the exact cause of the collision. Officers would like to speak with a particular female motorist who was at the scene of the collision and spoke with a City of Surrey employee roadside. The woman is described only as an Asian female in her 30’s and may have information regarding the actions of one of the drivers prior to the collision.
Anyone with information about this potential witness or the collision who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca, quoting file number 2016-166648.
