Surrey RCMP investigate a shot fired in Whalley

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the Whalley/City Centre area for a report of a shooting.
On July 28, 2016 at approximately 3:10am, Surrey RCMP came across a male that was suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of 135A Street and 108th Avennue. Additional officers responded to the area immediately and located a second victim nearby. The initial investigation also located a firearm nearby. Both victims have been transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is an isolated incident.
