Richmond Mounties Seek the Peacoat Man

The Richmond RCMP is hoping that someone will recognize a suspect in a vehicle theft that occurred on April 3, 2017 just after 1 am in the morning.

A 28-year old male was leaving a business in the 8800 block of River Road when the suspect approached him and proceeded to engage in small talk. This resulted in the suspect asking for a ride into downtown Richmond. The driver agreed and drove him to the area of No. 3 Rd and Cambie Rd where the suspect allegedly threatened the driver, ordered him out of the vehicle, and proceeded to steal his vehicle - a 2016 black Kia Optima with Alberta licence plates.
