Media Advisory: Plan Ahead – Hand the Reins Over to Us!

North Vancouver

File # 2017

With the holiday season counting down, Operation Red Nose reminds all citizens to enjoy themselves responsibly. With the rise in the number of drinking events comes the increase in the number of Police Counterattack Road Checks. Police are proactively looking for impaired drivers.

The time to plan on how to get home safely is before you begin drinking. There are plenty of options available; one is to call the friendly volunteers at Operation Red Nose and hand the reins over to them to take you home safely.

This year’s North Shore program will begin on Thursday, November 16th, 2017 with a media launch at the top of Grouse Mountain. Present will be representatives from Operation Red Nose, ICBC, North Vancouver RCMP and West Vancouver Police Dept.

Media is asked to meet at 11:00 am at the Starbucks at the bottom of Grouse Mountain to take a tram up together.

Operation Red Nose is a charitable program run by the North Shore Rotary Club and ICBC Road Sense. For a volunteer form or learn more information check the nsorn.org website.
