IHIT Called for Langley Shooting

On April 1st just before 2:00 pm, the Langley RCMP was called to the 8800 block of 201 Street after received a report of shots fired. Upon police attendance, an adult victim was located suffering from gunshot wounds. The adult victim succumbed to his injuries.

Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Langley RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, no further information will be provided at this time. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
