File # 2017-4749

On Saturday June 24th at 1:52 AM, the Quesnel RCMP were called to a report of a missing person. The police were told that Terrance Paul Jr, 32 years of age had fallen into the river. Mr. Paul was walking with friends along the train bridge when he fell into the river below. Mr. Paul had fallen into the Quesnel River where it meets the Fraser River.

While two friends searched the river, another friend alerted emergency services personnel. Search and Rescue were notified and a search was activated. The RCMP helicopter was called to assist in the search efforts however to date all efforts have failed to locate Mr. Paul.

Today Monday June 26th 2017, search efforts have been hampered due to the condition of the river. The rapidly moving water has prevented search and rescue efforts in the river. Ground search along the river bank has also been stopped due to the dangerously high water levels.
