Police are seeking the Public’s Assistance in Robbery Investigation

RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect in their investigation into the robbery of a business.

The investigation stems from a complaint received by police on July 26, 2016 at approximately 10:15 a.m. that a business in the 46000 block of Yale Road had been robbed. General Duty officers supported by the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services immediately responded to the robbery complaint.

Police quickly cordoned off the address and began searching for a man who witnesses said demanded money from an employee, then ran away on Yale Road with the stolen cash. After completing a thorough search of the area police did not locate the suspect.

The Chilliwack RCMP General Investigation Support Team (GIST) continue to pursue each lead, and called for the Integrated Forensic Investigation Section to examine the scene.

During the viewing of surveillance systems we discovered an image of the person suspected to have committed the alleged robbery, said Constable Jade Stewart (GIST) of Chilliwack RCMP.

The suspect is described as;

Police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the male’s image captured by the security camera, said Corporal Mike Rail, spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment.
