The Penticton South Okanagan Similkameen Regional RCMP General Investigations Section and the Summerland RCMP continues the investigation into the Summerland wildfire which occurred on September 1st, 2017. Investigators have confirmed that the fire was human caused and are seeking information.

RCMP investigators working on the September 1, 2017 wildfire, which occurred in the area of Princeton Summerland Road and McLennan Road in Summerland, are seeking information from individuals that may have witnessed activity related to the fire. The scene examination by the RCMP, Summerland Fire Dept. and BC Wildfire Services has been completed and has enabled investigators to conclude that the fire was human caused.

The Summerland RCMP is requesting that anyone who might have any information about this fire, including photographs or video, to contact Summerland RCMP at 250-494-7416 or via Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
