Motor vehicle collision – 6700 block of 152 Street

Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in regard to a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 6700 block of 152nd Street in Surrey.

On February 12, 2024 at approximately 9:11 PM Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a semi-truck and trailer in the 6700-block of 152 Street. The truck was travelling south on 152 Street when it struck the pedestrian resulting in significant injuries.

The pedestrian, a 40-year-old male, was transported to local area hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the truck is cooperating with police. The investigation is in the very early stages and police are working to determine what factors may have led to this unfortunately circumstance.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 6700 152 Street between 9:00 pm and 9:15 pm is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file# 24-20918

There are road closures in effect and commuters are being asked to plan alternative routes.
