File # 2023-0074

Police investigate further incidents of a man throwing objects at cars near Highway 99 and Loggers Lane and encourage the public to keep reporting.

On January 4, 2023, at about 10:20 p.m., a driver was driving north on Highway 99 near Loggers Lane when a man ran out from a wooded area and threw unknown objects at the car. Afterwards, the man returned into the woods.

The driver reported the incident and police made extensive patrols for the man but did not find him. The driver and their car did not receive any damage from the thrown objects.

We believe this is associated to recent incidents from December, says Corporal Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky RCMP. We follow up with every report to ensure peoples’ immediate safety. We look to resolve this problem on a bigger scale as we work within our authorities that are sometimes challenging, that’s why continued reporting is important.
