Maple Ridge, B.C. - Charges of sexual interference and sex assault were approved May 15, 2012 against 48 year old Edgar Hernandez of Maple Ridge. The charges stem from allegations involving a young female being touched inappropriately. It is further alleged the incidents occurred at a licenced Maple Ridge daycare, ‘Dragonfly Daycare’ which operates out of a home owned by the accused.

Corporal Alanna Dunlop said, Ridge Meadows RCMP feel it is important that the public are advised of this incident due to the environment in which the alleged offence occurred.

Hernandez was released by the Courts on Bail with conditions, and the investigation is continuing. Details of the allegations are not being disclosed, as this matter is now before the courts.
